Welcome to the Laboratory for Interface Science of Printable Electronic Materials
Our research is focused on the application of electrochemistry and spectroscopy to better understand the functionality of printable electronic materials, interfaces, and devices.
We are currently looking for new graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from areas of engineering, chemistry, and physics. Take a look at our publications pages to see a bit more of what we do.
News! – Our Near Ambient Pressure X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer (NAP-XPS) is being shipped in December 2025! See More

Active Job Postings
We are actively recruiting Georgia Tech PhD students from chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, and physics for the 2026-2027 academic year in 4 areas:
Project 1: Understanding chemical origins of defects in metal halide perovskites for (opto)electronics
Project 2: Characterizing and improving the stability of metal halide perovskites
Project 3: Conducting polymers to make molecules from sunlight
Project 4: Conducting polymers for battery applications
If you have been accepted to Georgia Tech and want to connect about any of the above projects, please email me at eratcliff8@gatech.edu.
